Top 10 Manchester City Kits of All Time

    Honorable Mentions:

1) 2011/12 Away Kit

Overall a beautiful kit. It's very iconic because of the season it's a part of and some of the iconic performances had in it such as Dzeko's 4 goal demolition of White Hart Lane. Its a great kit that paid homage to past kits, and has since been readapted and modernized. A true fan favorite kit.

2) 2010/11 Third Kit

Another kit that falls into the same category as the last. Its from the season before the last, and is just a  classic Man City kit. Its simple, clean, and timeless. There's been other variations of this kit like the recent Kid Super one from the Club World Cup, but this was the most iconic version of it.

3). 1998/99 Away Kit

Although it may not be the greatest of kits, its an iconic football kit that couldn't be left out. The Brother sponsor, the neon colors, and the iconic Play-off Final goal. It's a very unique kit and may not float everyone's boat but as a City fan you just have to love it, and it is definitely better than the remake from last season.

10. 2009/10 Home Kit

This is a beautiful, simple, classic look. It was our first kit with Umbro, and one you could never forget. Beautiful shade of sky blue, nice white accents, and nothing but class. It is one that you both loved to see on the pitch and loved to wear out casually. The simplicity of it makes it one that's hard to forget, and one that you hope Puma can take inspiration from in the future.

9. 2007/08 Away Kit

There was always to be a Thomas Cook kit, and I think this one takes the cake as the best. The pinstripes were a product of its time and something that we should probably bring back, the purple is something that we haven't seen since 2015 and we would probably like to see again, and the centered badge brings it all together. It wasn't going for a sleek or classic look, but rather was trying to be unique and in that it made a classic kit that most City fans would love to get their hands on.

8. 2022/23 Home Kit

Obviously the Treble winning kit was always going to be on the list. It was our first kit with a central badge in a long time, had a beautiful shade of blue, and the accents and trim were other worldly. What happened in this kit will always make you look back on it better, but even if we got relegated this kit would be remembered fondly. As soon as it was leaked and then released we all knew it was going to be an all timer kit. It also came with a beautiful cup font, compared to the alarm clock numbers from the season before.

7. 2023/24 Away Kit

This kit was nothing but class, and it's a shame we never got to wear it all that much. The cream color with the slight design on it, along with the bronze/marron accents and highlights made it an instant classic for me. It was nice to see a collared shirt for the first time since 2015/16, and was beautiful on the eyes. It was one that you could wear anywhere with anything, and made you proud to represent your team in public.

6. 2025/26 Away Kit

This kit is a new one, and already one of the fanbases favorite ever. the only thing holding it back from being higher, is we're yet to have any iconic moments in it. A black kit for the first time in years, and the uniqueness to use silver accents rather than white. It is such a plain kit, but plain in just the right way. You can wear it out, we can wear it often since it's black, and all of the accents and details such as the cup print are all the makings of a classic. Hopefully in 5 years we'll look back on it very fondly.

5. 2017/18 Home Kit

The centurions kit. That's it. it was plain, clean, sky blue, and dominant, what more could you want in a city kit. when you see it you think of Sane bolting down the wing, Sterling scoring a late winner, and De Bruyne and El Mago pulling strings in the middle of the park. It had the perfect amount of simplicity and small details like the maroon rings on the socks. A classic that is slightly carried by the things done in it, but nonetheless a perfect kit to start our iconic era of dominance in.

4. 2020/21 Away Kit

What a kit. Black kits just do it for me, and this is one of the best ever. a Beautiful black template, with dark blue designs on it that paid homage to Manchester. In the 2020/21 season, Puma decided to pay homage to Manchester with all of their kits. The home kit had a mosaic design, the third kit paid homage to the music scene, and the away kit paid respect to the city's architecture. along with the shiny bronze badge, sponsor, and numbers, this kit was an all timer that sadly didn't get worn as much as it should have.

3. 2013/14 Away Kit

Another black kit, but this one is the best ever. The 2013/14 set of kits was Nike's debut for city, and one of the strongest sets of kits we've ever seen. The two shades of black were just gorgeous, the gold details were fitting for us as we'd go on and win the league that year, and the thicker and better material is sadly something we don't see anymore in kits. This is a classic amongst City fans, and by many is seen as the best ever.

2. 2012/13 Away Kit

A kit that simply oozes elegance. The older badge, the beautiful stitching and collar, the deep maroon color, and pinstripes on the kit made it Umbro's best entrance into the history of Manchester City kits. It is a classy kit that had quite a few great moments in it. It was the last Mancini and Umbro kit, and was a great way to send them off. Some people aren't a fan of the yellow colors and accents, but the smaller details and quality of the kit are too good to pass up on. With new aerodynamic and breathable fabrics, a kit of this quality is something that we probably wont ever see again. It is my personal favorite kit that I own.

1. 2013/14 Home Kit

It was always going to be this one. I'm partial to it because it was the kit from when I started supporting City, but it's class can't be understated. Again it's made our of a better thicker knit fabric, had beautiful white and navy trimming around the arms and neck, and had a beautiful cup print that along with it. It was part of an iconic season, and when you see it you think of Yaya blasting a freekick into the back of the net. It was just the perfect amount of simple, modern, and class, and is a certified classic. In my opinion it is City's greatest ever kit, and one that goes down in the history books. Nike outdid themselves in their first season with us, and its a shame that the last three years under Nike, while we did get good kits, were all basic template kits rather than personal unique ones like the classics we got this season.
